It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing, and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out the biggest moves in adland this week.

Nick Garrett to run all Omnicom operations in ANZ

Nick Garrett is returning to Omnicom to run a combined operation including media and creative. He comes from four years at Deloitte Digital where he joined as a brand & creative partner in 2021. Within his first year he joined the global leadership team, later becoming global CMO.  

Paul Bradbury is proud of TBWA's generosity and creative hunger

Paul Bradbury, after almost 20 years leading TBWA across Australia and New Zealand, is stepping down from his regional leadership role proud of the culture at the agency. TBWA\Worldwide describes his tenure as being characterised by ambition, reinvention, a steadfast belief in Disruption® and the power of creativity to create real impact. 

Ultra-marathon runner Greg Wallace to run Ad Standards

Greg Wallace starts as executive director at Ad Standards, which oversees advertising industry self-regulation, from next month. He replaces Richard Bean who stepped down last year after more than four years in the role.

Akcelo appoints DDB's Jayde Smith

Brand experience and innovation agency Akcelo has appointed Jayde Smith as group director of technology. He joins the agency after nine years at DDB Group Australia, where he held senior technology roles and delivered work for brands including McDonald’s, Volkswagen, Westpac and Coles. 

Bullfrog executive team  

Independent creative agency Bullfrog has appointed Georgia Newton general manager, Mike Ronkoske chief strategy officer and Tim Shelley chief brand and experience officer to its new executive leadership team.

IMA B2B appoints creative director Simon Gaffney

Independent marketing consultancy, IMA B2B, has appointed Simon Gaffney as the creative director. He will lead the creative direction, helping brands sharpen their messaging, connect with audiences and drive action.  

MBCS appoints Poem co-founder Matt Holmes

Creative agency MBCS, part of IPG Mediabrands, has appointed Matt Holmes head of creative strategy and ideation. He brings more than 20 years of experience across the UK and Australia, specialising in earned-first thinking and integrated brand campaigns.  

Jamie Gilbert Smith opens his own shop

The former trade marketing director at Nine has launched Occam Strategy and Consulting. He lost his role at Nine in a restructuring of trade marketing, the unit looking after B2B.

Former Seven West executive takes policy lead at IAB

IAB Australia has appointed Sarah Kruger director of policy and regulatory affairs. She joins from Seven West Media, where she was head of government and regulatory affairs.
