Jamie Gilbert Smith, the former trade marketing director at Nine, has launched Occam Strategy and Consulting.
He lost his role at Nine in a restructuring of trade marketing, the unit looking after B2B.
Gilbert-Smith joined Nine in 2022 from creative content agency Hogarth. He was previously managing director at M&C Saatchi’s Sport & Entertainment.
“Over two decades, I’ve led strategy and marketing for some of Australia’s biggest brands across both B2B and B2C,” he said, announcing his new venture.
“From Olympic and Paralympic sponsorships to in-house transformation, grassroots engagement to boardroom growth agendas it’s been an interesting ride.
“Occam is the next chapter.
“In an increasingly complex world, overloaded with noise, I help brands, media owners and rights-holders find focus, drive relevance, and deliver growth.”
