AdNews wraps up the biggest pitch news and wins from the last month.

Crown Resorts media account up for pitch

Crown Resorts Group media account up for pitch, AdNews revealed.

A number of agencies have been invited to pitch including Initiative, which unveiled a new brand platform for the Group last month, AdNews understands.

And the incumbent dentsu media agency Carat - which has held the account still the casino giant's launch in 1994, most recently working out of Carat Perth for eight years - will not be repitching for the account, a dentsu spokesperson confirmed.

Hatched Who Gives A Crap media account

Independent media agency Hatched has been appointed by eco-friendly toilet paper brand Who Gives A Crap for media strategy, planning and buying, AdNews revealed.

Hatched will be Who Gives A Crap’s only Australian media agency joining a roster of high-calibre agencies across Australia, the UK and US.

Zenith, Dentsu, Thrive win Temple & Webster pitch

Homewares firm Temple & Webster has appointed Zenith, Dentsu and Thrive brand agency partners following a competitive closed pitch.

Hatched Booktopia media pitch

Hatched has been appointed by online bookstore Booktopia as its communications strategy partner following a competitive pitch.

This is the first time Booktopia has had a media agency of record, the remit includes a full SEO audit across the brand’s 17 million URLs.

Mediahub New Balance pitch

Global sports footwear and apparel brand New Balance has appointed Mediahub as its strategic media partner in Australia and New Zealand, following a competitive pitch.

Mediahub will undertake full funnel strategy, planning and activation across all channels for New Balance.

Zitcha tyresales pitch

Zitcha has been appointed by tyresales to drive its offsite and onsite retail media networks, following a competitive tender.

Zitcha will manage onsite media, including tyresales’ website, sponsored product banners and search, as well as tyresales offsite channels such as Meta, Google and Youtube.

Keep Left PassportCard creative pitch

Independent agency Keep Left has been appointed creative and PR agency of record for global travel insurer PassportCard, following a competitive pitch.

Keep Left will create an integrated brand campaign to launch PassportCard in Australia, supported by a PR and influencer program.

AJF wins Weber pitch, feeds Q’riosity

Weber is launching its next generation Weber Q range barbecues with a campaign from newly appointed creative agency, AJF Partnership, and media from incumbent agency Starcom Adelaide.

Perth media agency Media Tonic wins News Corp representation

News Corp Australia has appointed Perth-based media agency Media Tonic to manage its advertising needs in Western Australia.

Vehicle brand LDV shifts to Speed from Spark Foundry

Vehicle brand LDV, part of Shanghai Automobile and Industrial Corporation, has appointed indie agency Speed as its media agency, AdNews confirmed.

The Media Store and skincare brand About Time We Met

Independently media agency The Media Store has secured the media account for new Australian-made skincare brand About Time We Met.

Supermassive Tourism Tropical North Queensland pitch

Supermassive has been appointed creative partner for an upcoming global project led by Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ), following a competitive pitch.

GroupM gets PayPal media account after global win

WPP's GroupM has won PayPal's global media account after a year-long pitch, AdNews confirmed.

Previously, several agencies worked on the account Havas handled most of the European business, while the rest was shared between Dentsu’s iProspect and Publicis Groupe’s Spark Foundry.

Locally the incumbent was dentsu's iProspect. Now the account will be serviced by Mindshare, AdNews understands.

iProspect grabs Ferrero media account locally

Italian confectionery giant Ferrero Group has awarded its local business to dentsu media agency iProspect, after a global competitive review, AdNews confirmed.

Before the review, dentsu held the account in Germany, Japan, South Korea and Mexico, and Publicis' remit includes Ferrero Italy, China and the UK. Details of the account in other markets is currently unknown.

Slingshot gets media strategy, planning and buying for Inghams

Creative media agency Slingshot has won the media strategy, planning and buying account for Inghams.

Slingshot CEO and partner Simon Rutherford said the agency aspires to work with celebrated brands and individuals who stretch and challenge Slingshot, so it is loving working with the Inghams team.

The Australian Childhood Foundation appoints TBWA Melbourne

Australian Childhood Foundation has appointed TBWA\Melbourne to develop a brand name, identity and positioning, for a coalition of major Australian businesses.
