Motio's new national sales director

Place-based media company Motio has appointed Christian Tyson national sales director, following the promotion of Gordon D'Mello into an expanded role as director of content, product and marketing.

Penny Fowler joins Bastion advisory board

She is the chair of the Herald and Weekly Times, Tourism Australia, the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal and the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. 

Mark Read’s new gig

The former CEO of WPP, has landed as chair of media measurement business Kantar Media.

New editor at the SMH

Bevan Shields has stepped aside as editor of The Sydney Morning Herald to be replaced by chief reporter Jordan Baker.

Sean Barrett appointed Woolworths CMO

He joins in January from US grocer Albertsons, where he led brand and marketing work across its 2,300-store network. 

SBS head of programming resigns

Peter Andrews has resigned after more than a decade.
