Rebecca Tos, senior vice president and managing director ANZ of Dentsu Aegis Network's (DAN) performance marketing agency Merkle, is leaving the agency and holding group.

A spokesperson for DAN confirmed Tos' departure and thanked her for her commitment and contribution to the business.

Oliver Rapson, national managing director of DAN's digital performance marketing agency iProspect Australia, has expanded his role to oversee both agencies.

"This will simplify and optimise their complementary capabilities – elevating the product and enhancing client experience," the spokesperson told AdNews.

Tos announced her departure on Linkedin saying 2020 was bringing a "new chapter" for her to move into her next venture.

Tos has been in the role for six months, being promoted from CEO of Merkle's local business unit Columbus.

She has been part of DAN since 2012, previously working as managing director of Columbus and a short stint as DAN's first chief marketing officer.

Prior to her time at DAN, Tos held senior roles at Reprise Media, News Corp's online division News Digital Media and Ninemsn.

Tos' departure comes after a tumultuous 2019 for DAN which saw several rounds of executive redundancies and CEO Henry Tajer stepping down less than a year of being placed in the role.

This week former DAN executives Simon Williams and Nick Swifte, both of whom were impacted by the redundancies, have started in new roles.
