Former APAC head of automation and data for Spotify, Dan Robins, has joined PwC as a director of its CMO Advisory.

Robins departed the music streaming business earlier in the year after reportedly being made redundant.

He left the role in October, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Robins came to Spotify in 2017 as ANZ head of programmatic and data before being promoted after eight months to the APAC role.

Justin Papps, Partner CMO Advisory: "Dan has extensive experience across the media spectrum and will help our clients solve the challenges they face across media strategy, spend, efficacy and measurement. As a champion of media transparency and efficacy, we look forward to Dan’s contribution to the work we are doing with clients to help them make the most of every media dollar they spend."

Prior to his time at Spotify, he was at OMD where he had worked for more than four years in a number of roles including head of interactive and head of performance.

Robins joined OMD from Carat London at the start of 2013, where he was head of paid search for the UK, working on clients such as General Motors, Santander, Travelodge, Vodafone and Diageo. He has also worked at The Search Works.

PwC also announced that Nicky Bryson has rejoined the practice as director, brand and consumer insights following her
time at TBWA as Head of Strategy.

Justin Papps: “Nicky is well known and respected across the industry having recently launched 'The Trenches' - a
mentoring program for people in the Marketing and Advertising Industry. Her passion for solving client's most challenging business and marketing challenges drew her back to PwC, as well as the opportunity to further explore the way societal trends are influencing people’s interactions with organisations and brands."
