L-R – Simon Ryan, Kris Yule and Mark Power.

RyanCap, Simon Ryan's marketing and media communications parent company, has acquired Power Media Plus, an independently owned Brisbane-based full-service media agency.

Power Media Plus will be rebranded to Ryvalmedia, RyanCap's media agency which launched last year, effective from 1 July.

The deal represents a key strategic acquisition for RyanCap with an expanded footprint into the Brisbane market.

Power Media Plus partners Mark Power and Kris Yule will remain with the business and lead the Brisbane operation.

"The acquisition of Power Media Plus is an exciting move for RyanCap, aligned with our strategic growth plan for the business," RyanCap CEO Simon Ryan says.

"Mark and Kris' abilities and experience, matched with our growing capability, give us an excellent opportunity to provide a strong alternative in the Brisbane market."

Power Media Plus offers clients services including performance digital, media strategy and buying, communications, content, and social media management.

The agency includes a portfolio of more than 20 clients across a range of business categories, including automotive, retail, real estate, fintech, healthcare, agritourism, and ecommerce.

Mark Power says: "Ryvalmedia's digital-first approach is a great fit for Power Media Plus and our clients, helping us continue to deliver excellent results in this fast-changing and increasingly digitally-focused world."

Kris Yule says: "This is an excellent opportunity for Brisbane and demonstrates the high quality of agency service and technical expertise available from a wholly Australian-owned independent group."

This is the latest acquisition for Ryan as he builds out his own independent holding group. He has already acquired indie digital shop JBZ Digital and rolled it into Ryvalmedia.

Earlier in the year he also made an investment in EMT Partners, an entertainment, media, sport, and technology law and advisory firm.
