Host/Havas wins IKEA Australia creative account

IKEA Australia has appointed Host/Havas its creative agency. The account last went to pitch in 2019 which saw CHEP Network win the $10 million business. Before that The Monkeys had held the account since 2010.

Noisy Beast and Atomic 212 win Victoria University pitch

Victoria University (VU) has appointed its creative account to Noisy Beast and its media to Atomic 212, following a competitive pitch, AdNews revealed. The university had previously worked with Hardhat for creative and Resolution Digital for media.

Wavemaker retains Mitsubishi's $50m media account

GroupM agency Wavemaker has retained Mitsubishi's $50m media account, after going to pitch earlier this year, AdNews revealed. At the time of reporting, the deal wasn't complete yet as the agency and client were still outlining contract agreements.

Dentsu WA wins Thermomix

Dentsu Western Australia has secured a partnership with lifestyle and kitchen brand Thermomix. The agency was appointed by The Mix Australia and New Zealand to develop the brand’s ANZ media strategy, planning and buying following a competitive pitch process.

Paper Moose wins Mitsubishi Electric pitch

Air conditioning and refrigeration company Mitsubishi Electric has awarded its creative account to Paper Moose following a competitive pitch.

Starcom Australia retains P&G and Bega Group

Starcom has retained two key media accounts: Personal care and consumer products company P&G and FMCG giant Bega Group. Effective immediately, the re-appointments are an extension of the long-time partnerships between Starcom Australia and the businesses, with Bega Group now a client for 17 years and P&G six years.

Yango wins Mortgage & Finance Association pitch

Independent media agency Yango has won the paid media account for the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), following a competitive pitch process. 

OMD wins Cancer Council WA account

OMD WA has won the pitch for Cancer Council WA's media planning and buying account. The remit was previously held by Initiative. The agency will spearhead various campaigns, such as LiveLighter, Sun Smart, Make Smoking History, Alcohol. Think Again, Drug Aware, Think Mental Health, Strong Spirit Strong Mind, and Daffodil Day.

Havas Media wins French Connection

Havas Media Network Melbourne has won the French Connection Australia media account. Tasked with the relaunch of the Australian fashion retailer, Havas will provide implementation planning and buying.

Nunn Media wins Bakers Delight as media buyer

Nunn Media has been appointed as media buyer for Bakers Delight for its Australian marketing campaigns across print, online, broadcast and digital media channels.

Connecting Plots wins Australian Eggs pitch

Industry body Australian Eggs has appointed Connecting Plots its creative agency of record following a competitive pitch. Connecting Plots were awarded the business in late May, with a new brand platform and integrated campaign in development for release in the coming months.

New agency Supermassive wins P&O Cruises

Supermassive, a new creative agency founded by Laura Aldington, Simone Gupta and Jon Austin, had won P&O Cruises. The win is seen as a major coup for the newly formed independent. The cruise ship company previously used creative agency Bashful.

Bread wins P&O Cruises social media pitch

P&O Cruises Australia has appointed Bread Agency its social media partner following a competitive pitch. Bread will join the agency village working on the launch of P&O’s new brand platform.

The Royals wins Australian Unity pitch

Social enterprise and mutual company Australian Unity has appointed The Royals to its creative account following a competitive pitch. The account was previously held by VMLY&R.

Six NSW highway OOH locations up for pitch

Transport for NSW has an open market tender to manage, maintain, and operate OOH advertising signs at six locations along high-traffic roads in Greater Sydney, AdNews revealed. JCDecaux currently manages these screens and declined to comment.

Wonderful wins Artbid

Digital agency Wonderful has been appointed by Artbid for brand creation, development and end-to-end digital marketing strategy and implementation.

RCJ Group wins Dilmah Tea media account

Dilmah Tea has appointed RCJ Group as its Australian media agency partner ahead of the launch of its Make The World a Better Tea brand campaign.

Starcom wins TPG Telecom

TPG Telecom has appointed Starcom as its media agency across the Vodafone, TPG and iiNet brands. The appointment comes after a comprehensive, four-month review process; Wavemaker previously held the account.

Dig wins [yellow tail]

Dig has been awarded the [yellow tail] creative account in Australia. The account was previously held by Connecting Plots.
