OMD wins Cancer Council WA account

OMD WA has won the pitch for Cancer Council WA's media planning and buying account.

The remit was previously held by Initiative.

The agency will spearhead various campaigns, such as LiveLighter, Sun Smart, Make Smoking History, Alcohol. Think Again, Drug Aware, Think Mental Health, Strong Spirit Strong Mind, and Daffodil Day.

Cancer Council WA CEO, Ashley Reid, said the successful bid reflects OMD’s understanding of Cancer Council WA.

“Our campaign portfolio has grown significantly over the last few years, so it’s vital each campaign gets a custom fit when it comes to media planning and buying, and we are confident OMD can deliver on that," said Reid.

Head of OMD WA, Brannon Heath, said the agency is beyond excited to be appointed by Cancer Council WA and can’t wait to get started.

"Through the digital expertise and strategic thinking OMD WA can offer we know we can make an instant impact for the brands," said Heath.

This achievement further solidifies OMD WA's 2023 account wins, during which its secured media buying and planning for Perth Airport and the Fremantle Dockers. The agency also obtained the SEO & SEM contract for Western Power and handled the media campaign for the WALGA local elections.
