Coles has partnered with News Corp Australia to add a mini newspaper to its Little Shop 2 collection.

The launch of the Kids News collectable marks the end of the Little Shop 2 campaign and will be given to customers with the purchase of a participating News Corp Australia newspaper in Coles this weekend.

Earlier last year News Corp Australia launched the news platform for children, Kids News, which the mini newspaper is designed off.

“The Little Shop phenomenon took Australia by storm last year and we are thrilled to grow our Coles partnership with this exclusive Kids News mini newspaper,” Lou Barrett, managing director national sales at News Corp Australia, says.

“Kids News is News Corp’s national education platform for children and teachers, with news stories specifically crafted for children and housed in a safe, online environment.”

To boost the rollout of the mini newspaper, News Corp has teamed up with Channel 10’s Studio 10 program to find Australia youngest newsreader, who will be flown to Sydney to read the news on the program.

The campaign is also supported with a joint marketing campaign including print, digital, TV, radio and point of sale.
