Movers & Shakers: Ryvalmedia, Foxtel, PHD

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out the some of the biggest moves this week.

Ryvalmedia Brisbane expands
Ryvalmedia Brisbane has appointed Milan Narayan as digital director. Narayan has previously worked as senior digital marketing specialist at Tiny, and head of digital at Adoni Media. His appointment comes following the addition of nine new clients since the agency launched in the local market in July.

Host/Havas appoints group creative director
Former Droga5 New York creative Henry Kember is group creative director a tHost/Havas. Kember has 15 years’ experience both locally and overseas. He has also worked at agencies such as Crispin Porter + Bogusky LA, The Monkeys, and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Foxtel's brand and content marketing director
Jo Bladen, replacing marketing director Sarah Hewlett at Foxtel, has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, previously working in senior marketing and commercial roles at The Walt Disney Company in London/EMEA and Australia/APAC.

Roger Dunn resurfaces at Criteo
Commerce media platform Criteo has appointed Roger Dunn, the founder and former GM of GroupM Commerce, head of retail media in Australia and New Zealand. He was replaced at GroupM by Sean Bone, former head of eCommerce & Customer Marketing at Diageo in Australia.

New group business director at PHD
Leading the PHD's Unilever and Nine teams, Alison Jones joins from Publicis Media where she was group business director on Platform GSK, the dedicated team for the pharmaceutical organisation.

Acast launches in Melbourne
Podcast company Acast has expanded into Melbourne with the hire of Bryce Crosswell as group sales lead for Victoria. Crosswell is the first Victoria-based hire for the company. He is responsible for spearheading growth in the market for Acast, working with brands and agencies to include podcasting in their audio marketing strategies. Crosswell was previously group sales manager at JCDecaux where he spent the past nine years.

Outbrain appoints head of sales
Yury Glikin has been appointed head of sales for recommendation platform Outbrain. He will drive strategic commercial and programmatic direction in APAC.

Claxon gives former boss new role
Digital growth agency Claxon has appointed former CEO and cofounder Daniel Willis as chairman for the board. Willis had been at the helm of the agency since its inception in 2017 before stepping down in April this year. He begins his new role at the Gold Coast-based agency at a time when it is experiencing significant growth. Willis will be responsible for taking Claxon’s M&A initiative to market.

 

Ampel appoints general manager
Audio experience agency Ampel has appointed Michelle Lomas to the newly created role of general manager. Lomas is responsible for spearheading growth in audio and content partnerships, with direct brands in audio content strategies, original podcast sponsorships and branded content across audio, TV and social content.

Two Palms Media makes three appointments and a promotion
Creative media and content agency Two Palms Media has made three new hires and a promotion. Braiden Moffat, from Lion Nathan, has been hired as social media director, Victoria Brazier has joined from TCO London as senior producer and Courtney Rule, former client partner at TBWA’s Fleishman Hillard and Eleven, has been appointed as director of PR. The agency also promoted Sinaed Eisenhut to head of talent and partnerships.
