GroupM appoints Pat Crowley to lead Essence Australia

Pat Crowley was named the first CEO of Essence in Australia, as AKQA Media becomes part of the Essence network. The transition is effective from January 1.

Anthony Sciacca moves from OMD to MediaCom

Anthony Sciacca was appointed MediaCom's head of marketplace, Sydney. He was previously group trading director at OMD Australia. In his new role, he will oversee MediaCom's digital IO and traditional investment teams based in Sydney.

Mediabrands names two chiefs for talent and communications

Mediabrands Australia has expanded its leadership team with Kim Lion as chief culture and communications officer and Alexia Bryant chief talent officer. 

Rapid growth at Resolution Digital 

Resolution Digital announced two senior hires: Callum Pendleton, appointed director, and Benni Lucas in a newly-created role, head of marketing technology.

Martin White and Rashell Habib to news roles at 10 ViacomCBS 

10 ViacomCBS has appointed Martin White as head of broadcast news and Rashell Habib as head of digital news and strategy. The duo, who both step into newly-created roles, will be responsible for leading the 10 News First team, while managing the broadcast and digital content strategies for news.

Avid Collective announces nine new staff

Native content network Avid Collective announced the appointment of nine new staff to the company's Sydney team. Avid Collective managing director and co-founder Luke Spano: "“These hires are a reflection of the significant growth we’ve been able to achieve in the last 12 months. We’ve taken remarkable strides in both extensively growing our media network and expanding the advertising partners we work with."

Colenso BBDO promotes Lucy Grigg to general manager

Colenso BBDO announced Lucy Grigg’s promotion from managing partner to general manager. She joins the Colenso Executive team alongside Angela Watson, Rob Campbell, Maria Devereaux, Simon Vicars, Paul Courtney, and Richard Schoeffel. Colenso BBDO managing director Angela Watson says: “Lucy Grigg is amazing and we’re delighted she’s taking up this new role. It’s always a thrill to be able to promote from within and bring another talented human into the overall leadership of the agency."

PubMatic appoints former Unruly Asia boss

PubMatic has appointed adtech executive Vijay Anand Kunduri as regional vice president for its over-the-top (OTT) business in APAC. Kunduri was previously managing director for video advertising company Unruly in Asia. 

Stefanie Duhy joins Archibald Williams

Sydney independent agency Archibald Williams has hired Stefanie Duhy as a senior account director. Also appointed is Genevieve Bowes as an account executive, to support Duhy’s team.

Red Havas appoints Alex Bryant executive director - Sydney

Red Havas appointed Alexandra Bryant to the newly-created position of executive director – Sydney PR. She will also join the agency’s national senior leadership team. Most recently, Bryant was managing partner and creative principle of Finchco Agency. Beyond her agency role, she is also a non executive director for not-for-profit Little Wings.

DDB Group Aotearoa NZ announces Matty Burton as its first group CCO

Matty Burton will take up the newly-created role of group chief creative officer at DDB Group Aotearoa NZ. Burton joins the agency from Google where he led the Asia-Pacific innovation team from Sydney. Prior to that, he co-founded the Special Group’s Australian offices, spent time at Droga5 in New York and led TBWA in Australia.
