Mediabrands Australia has expanded its leadership team with Kim Lion as chief culture and communications officer and Alexia Bryant chief talent officer.

The group now has about 800 people.

“Over the past 18 months or so our people teams have faced extraordinary challenges and they’ve delivered incredibly well,” says CEO Mark Coad.

“Our people teams have brought clear direction to our COVID-related working from home and office management policies, flexible working arrangements, recruitment needs, employment contract compliance, performance development, assistance with senior appointments and employment policies – to name a few.”

Alexia Bryant started leading HR in early 2020. She worked alongside Kim Lion who has led culture and communication across the group.

"Their two roles have expanded massively in recent times and there are now two very clear people ‘pillars’ working in close partnership across Mediabrands and within our individual businesses," says Coad.

Kim Lion leads Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and communications. Alexia Bryant leads Policy, Recruitment, HR Operations and Governance.

“Our programs to find, support and manage our talent are deeply integral to our progress and the future development of the group. With such high importance it is right that Alexia and Kim represent our People programs at our most senior management forum,” says Coad.

The Mediabrands executive leadership team (ELT) now consists of Coad, John Clements (CFO), Melissa Fein (CEO Initiative), Anathea Ruys (CEO UM), Kim Lion, Alexia Bryant, Jackie Edwards (MD Orion), Maria Grivas (CEO Reprise), Clay Gill (CEO Matterkind) and Nick Durrant (MD Magna).
