Microsoft’s Cindy Rose is the new CEO of WPP
WPP has appointed Cindy Rose CEO. She takes over from Mark Read who is stepping down. Rose has spent the last nine years in senior leadership positions at Microsoft where she is currently chief operating officer, global enterprise.
Ogilvy’s Sally Kissane steps down
Kissane is stepping down from her role after a three-decade tenure at the agency. She will leave Ogilvy this month. Successors are now being considered.
Virginia Hyland gone from Havas Media
The now former CEO of Havas Media Group Australia left sometime in April. She has lodged a claim in the Federal Court against her former employer for breaches of Fair Work provisions.
Shout Digital appoints Megan Moloney chief customer officer
Moloney will lead the agency’s account management function, overseeing more than 130 retained clients across Shout’s service lines.
R/GA has appointed Prue Jones national executive creative director, experience design and Ben Yabsley national executive creative director.
Samsung Ads expands sales and marketing leadership
Samsung Ads, the advertising division of Samsung Electronics, has appointed Levi Guillory agency head of strategic accounts, NSW and NZ, and Carla Dawson head of strategic marketing, ANZ and SEA.
Clemenger’s Phoebe Sloane jumps to the Bullfrog pond
Melbourne-based independent creative agency Bullfrog has appointed Phoebe Sloane creative director. She joins from Clemenger BBDO where she was a senior copywriter. She previously worked on brands including Myer, BMW and Uber Eats.
George Savvides is stepping down as chair of public broadcaster SBS at the end of his second term. He joined SBS as deputy chair in February 2017.
