MediaCom Melbourne MD Anny Havercroft has resigned from the WPP-owned agency to pursue a career working with emerging businesses and startups.

MediaCom Australia appeared to be on a roll with shoring up its leaders of the future in September last year as it bolstered its ranks by promoting then Melbourne GM,Havercroft, to MD Melbourne.

Havercroft, who has been at the agency for nine years says she's looking forward to applying her “wealth of people and product experience to a startup environment”.

Brett Elliott, a 17-year veteran of the agency, who was promoted at the same time as Havercroft, will continue in his role of general manager in Melbourne, overseeing the day-to-day operations.

Nicole Boyd, who was recently appointed national managing director of client service, will join the Melbourne leadership team with Elliott. Boyd, a local to Melbourne and 11 year MD of MediaCom Brisbane is already based out of Melbourne in her national capacity.

Sean Seamer, CEO MediaCom ANZ says: “Anny has been a key member of our team and has made many contributions to our success since joining in 2007. Her commitment and passion to our Melbourne team and clients has been exemplary and we thank her, whole-heartedly, for the effort that she has put in to the business over that time.”
