Zenith wins Coty media account

Zenith, part of Publicis Groupe, has won the Australian media account for Coty, the global beauty giant behind brands including Hugo Boss, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Burberry, CoverGirl and Sally Hansen, AdNews can reveal.

The appointment ends Havas' tenure on the business, which held the account since its 2020 acquisition of independent agency HYLAND, which brought Coty into the Havas network.

The appointment consolidates Coty's relationship with Publicis Groupe, which already handles the company's global media business.

Coty invested US$1.57 billion (A$2.4 billion) in advertising and promotional activity globally in FY25, according to company filings.

Kate O'Ryan-Roeder, CEO of Havas Media Network Australia, told AdNews the company was proud of the work it had done with Coty.

"Following a global consolidation directive, Coty Australia has undertaken a realignment and centralisation of its international agency model, resulting in the conclusion of Havas Media's local engagement," O'Ryan-Roeder said.

"We are proud of the contribution our people have made to Coty's success in Australia and grateful for the long-standing trust and collaboration with the Coty team. 

“We wish them continued success as they move forward under their new global operating model."

Coty is one of the world's largest beauty companies, with a portfolio spanning fragrance, colour cosmetics and skin and body care.

The Coty win adds to a strong run of new business momentum for Zenith in the past 12 months, including Industry Super Australia and Flight Centre.
