Wunderman Thompson names Neil Kelly as Sydney partner

By Paige Murphy | 7 November 2019

Wunderman Thompson has appointed Neil Kelly to the newly created role of Sydney partner, as the creative consultancy strengthens its data, technology and customer experience capabilities.

Kelly joins the Sydney team from Publicis Sapient, where he spent three years as client partner with a focus on building innovative and engaging customer experiences through commerce, content, data and experience transformation.

Kelly worked across clients including Aesop, Tabcorp, MLC Insurance, Flight Centre and AGL.

Previously, Kelly worked at Deloitte Digital in London and Australia in product and business strategy helping organisations make informed data-driven decisions when developing new products and services.

Kelly says he is excited to join the Wunderman Thompson team at a "pivotal point" for the business.

“I’m excited to take what is a really compelling data and experience proposition to clients; helping them to transform and grow their businesses in APAC,” Kelly says.

John Gutteridge, CEO of Wunderman Thompson ANZ, says he was thrilled to add Kelly to the leadership team after a successful seven months as a new entity.

"His consultative experience and excellent track record of leading product, tech and strategy teams to drive business growth for clients is very much in our sweet spot.”

WPP announced it would merge JWT and Wunderman to become Wunderman Thomspon at the end of last year.

Since then, the newly-formed agency has picked up a number of clients and projects including Duracell, Meat and Livestock AustraliaElder Abuse Action Australia and Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety.
