Who is the most eligible bachelor in advertising?

By AdNews | 6 November 2015

It's only 10 days until we unveil the most eligible bachelor in adland, so we thought we'd polish off a big week with some in-depth Q&As with the final line-up of hopefuls before the big reveal.

Will it be social media guru Matt Ryan, a Canadian Club fan who claims to be "kinkier" than billionaire bachelor Christian Grey? Or maybe MediaCom's Jeremy McNamara, a Brisbane-based planner who has a penchant for tight denim shirts and Lil' Kim? Or perhaps true romantic Jonathon Bernard, the media man for Collingwood Football Club who enjoys picnics in Melbourne's botanic gardens and chatting to his mum.

There are 12 contenders in this year's Cleo Media Bachelor, and it's up to the public to decide the winner. You can vote for one bachelor each day but be quick - voting closes on November 16.

Check out profiles of the first nine bachelors here, here and here.

Here's what Matt had to say:

Matt Ryan

I should be the Cleo Media Bachelor of the year because:
Because I’m bigger than the Bachelor and kinkier than Christian Grey.

To impress a girl on a date I would:
Swipe left on everyone else in the room.

My life motto is:
If you’re not living on the edge then you’re taking up too much space.

Here's what Jeremy had to say:

Jeremy McNamara

I should be the Cleo Media Bachelor of the year because:
I have hidden skills rare for a white boy. Most notably, I can rap word for word “How Many Licks” by Lil' Kim and I am not afraid to do this in public.

To impress a girl on a date I would:
Take her out for a night of moderately priced alco-pops followed by cutting some vicious shapes on the D-floor. Then take her home before giving her a private performance of “How Many Licks."

My life motto is:
Treat yo' self.

Here's what Jonathon had to say:

jonathon bernard

I should be the Cleo Media Bachelor of the year because:
On the cusp of turning 30, I need to be able to talk to my mum about something other than cooking, cleaning products and the new cafe that just opened.

To impress a girl on a date I would:
Take her on a picnic in the afternoon in the botanical gardens and provide a feast which I prepared in the kitchen that morning.

My life motto is:
To ask questions and not accept the mundane.
