Whether it's a flying monkey on a computer, people walking barefoot over hot coals or a man riding a llama, there's no doubt that there is set to be some strong contenders for this year's Val Morgan ACES Awards.

The Australian Creative Excellence Showcase (ACES), held by Val Morgan in association with AdNews, celebrates exceptional creativity in locally produced film advertising.

Any Australian campaign which has been broadcast in cinema or on TV in the last year is eligible for competition.

To refresh your creative souls, last year's shortlist included BMF, Leo Burnett Melbourne, McCann Melbourne, The Monkeys, Saatchi & Saatchi, Lawrence Creative, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Goodoil Films, 303Lowe and Clemenger BBDO Brisbane. And we have the sizzle reel here:

Shortlisted ads will also receive points that contribute to the AdNews Agency Rankings, just in case you thought you were going to miss out.

Nomations are now closed.
