BMF's 'Sufing Santas' campaign for supermarket chain Aldi has been listed twice as a finalist in this year's ACES Awards.

Finalists for the third Val Morgan ACES Awards for excellence in cinema and TV advertising have been announced with BMF putting in the most impressive performance to score two nominations, both for its work with German supermarket chain Aldi.

In all, 10 finalists have been nominated including work from BWM, Finch, Engine, DDB, McCann, FSM, Clemenger BBDO and AdNews Agency of the Year Award winners The Monkeys. The first two ACES Awards were won by JWT Melbourne for its 'Stories Unbound' campaign for the Melbourne Writers Festival and most recently by M&C Saatchi Sydney for its 'Lion' campaign for Optus.

The third instalment of the ACES has seen record numbers of entries with 88% of those making it beyond TV and on to the cinema screen. “The entries in this ACES event have been of the highest quality,” said Val Morgan chief executive Damian Keogh. “The support of the creative agencies has been fantastic with a record number of entries. The aim of the ACES is to celebrate and recognise great Australian creative ideas and executions and our finalists certainly reflect that.”

The awards ceremony will be held at the Event Cinemas on George St, Sydney, at 4pm Wednesday 20 March.
