CQUniversity has appointed Hybrid News Limited to handle its international media strategy, following a competitive pitch process, AdNews can confirm.
As reported by AdNews earlier this month, the university was seeking a media agency partner to support its offshore marketing efforts, targeting prospective students across key international markets.
Hybrid News Limited will be responsible for offshore media planning and buying, with a remit to help drive student acquisition and increase brand visibility abroad.
Headquartered in the UK, Hybrid News specialises in international student recruitment and performance marketing for the higher education sector.
The agency works with a number of global universities and education providers, offering services across digital strategy, paid media, content marketing and data analytics.
Financial details of the appointment were not disclosed.
Within Australia, CQUniversity’s Corporate Communications team manages domestic media relations, providing planning, advice, and content in collaboration with academics and faculties.
The latest appointment from CQUniversity follows its appointment of Brisbane-based independent Brother & Co as its creative agency of record in 2020, a partnership that has continued into 2025.
CQUniversity operates a national network of campuses across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The university’s international strategy forms part of its broader growth objectives.
