Clemenger BBDO has been appointed as the creative agency of record for Tennis Australia.

The agency, which just last week retained the creative account for the Transport Accident Commission, will be responsible for brand strategy, growing audience participation, launching the ATP Cup and taking on creative leadership of the Australian Open.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with the team at Tennis Australia and bringing fresh thinking to such an iconic brand and sport,” Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s managing director, Simon Lamplough, says.

“The ongoing success of the AO is remarkable and we have some incredibly strong foundations to build from.”

Tennis Australia’s chief insights and marketing officer, Josie Brown, says the process and appointment comes at a “pivotal time for tennis in Australia”.

“I’m looking forward to working with the team at Clemenger BBDO to apply brilliant creativity to how we present our brand, grow our game, and connect fans to tennis experiences,” he says.

Last month Tennis Australia launched a new campaign for the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program with creative agency Hardhat.

In 2017 Landor partnered with Brisbane motion agency Breeder and New York sound studio Nylon on TVC ad for Tennis Australia in the run up to the 2018 Australian Open.
