Today's round of the Social Media Showdown is all about the clients.

Does your agency know all there is to know? Is there one person in particular who is the go-to for your brands social media strategy? If there is – then now's the time to show them you rate them as the best.

Voting is simple – all you have to do is click here and fill in the details of your social media chosen one. It should only take a few minutes, just think of all the over-time they do for you.

Anyone who works in marketing in Australia can vote – that means clients and publishers too. The catch is, media agency folk can't vote so you'll have to hope that all your hard work speaks for itself. You have until midnight.

The agency and individual with the most votes will each get a bonus batch of points in the competition.

Thomas Lyngsfeldt from Social Soup said of the results so far 348 people entered the social media quiz yesterday.

The winner of the social media quiz is Jordan Lomax from OMD with 16 correct answers.

The runner up was Chris Rooney from Ikon with same amount of correct answers and just beaten by Jordan’s faster time.

“We had a look at the performance across disciplines in the social media quiz across all entries. People who work in social is not surprisingly performing best, but you might the rankings of some of the other disciplines interesting (Discipline diagram below),” Lyngsfeldt said.

Here's who's in the lead so far:

Tomorrow we'll update the league table showing which agencies and individuals are ahead of the rest.

The Social media Showdown is being launched by Social Soup in partnership with AdNews and Facebook, which is providing a trip to Silicon Valley for the winner. It will find out which people and agencies are the slickest at social through weeklong series of activations. There's points up for grabs for each social task that will put players into a league table to battle it out for the top spots – both individually – and for their agency. The more you participate and the more social shares you get – the more points.

All the details of the daily initiative, how to enter and participate will be on AdNews every day this week. Each day, we'll also update the league table to see which individuals and agencies are in the lead before announcing the final scores. There's prizes throughout the week from a smartwatch to trip to Silicon Valley courtesy of Facebook and Instagram, for the overall winner.
