Sydney-based Match Media has been named the dedicated media agency for Presto, following what it is calling a “quiet review” of the market.

The streaming service, which is a joint venture between Seven and Foxtel, had been working with Mindshare for the launch of its most recent consumer-facing campaign, starring Naomi Watts.

The appointment is immediate and will see Match take the consolidated media work this month.

Presto marketing director Sally Kiernan says: “Presto’s first year has seen huge growth and success, with thanks to the incredible support throughout this critical launch phase from our shareholder’s in-house media team and supporting media agency, Mindshare.”

Match Media CEO John Preston says he is looking forward to working in the highly competitive and challenging sector of subscription video on demand (SVOD).

“Bringing all the media services under one roof gives Presto the ability to move swiftly to deliver Presto its rightful share of the streaming category,” Preston says.

It follows Presto's appointment of Whybin\TBWA Sydney as its creative agency of record last year.
