It’s hard to keep track of the account wins and losses across the industry. To help you keep on top of who has what, here’s a wrap of the pitches from the week.

The Good Guys
Consumer electronics retail chain The Good Guys has appointed independent Melbourne-based agency Stratosphere as its new media agency of record. The account was previously held by Dentsu Aegis Network-owned (DAN) agency Dentsu X. The Good Guys are heavy spenders on TV, particularly through their "pay less, pay cash" platform. This is the second major win for the Melbourne-based indie agency, which earlier this year secured the full-service account for Australian vitamins company, Nature's Care.

Asahi Beverages
OMD Melbourne has been appointed to the consolidated media account for Asahi Beverages, which includes its alcohol drinks and Schweppes brands. The consolidated account is worth upwards of $7 million. “We are incredibly excited to welcome Asahi Beverages into the OMD family. Their suite of iconic brands are household names, and we are delighted to partner with them as they consolidate the power of both the Asahi and Schweppes brands into one media agency," OMD Australia CEO Aimee Buchanan says.

Menulog
UM Australia has been appointed to the $10 million media account for Menulog, after its parent company Just Eat appointed the agency globally, following a competitive pitch. UM Sydney will handle all local media buying and planning for the online food delivery service. The account also included responsibilities for the New Zealand market. Menulog was acquired by UK-based online food giant Just Eat in 2015 for $855 million. Last year it was revealed that Menulog would be working on a new brand platform, appointing Clemenger BBDO Melbourne as its creative agency of record.

Defence Housing Australia
Defence Housing Australia (DHA) has appointed independent full-service media agency Audience Group as its creative agency for DHA's latest land development in Ripley, following a competitive tender. Audience Group, including its branding and advertising agency Blue Pencil, has been engaged to address this challenging sector by developing the creative strategy, advertising and brand collateral for what will be a three-year program. The agency will design and implement the media strategy, planning and buying for the project. It attributed its audience-buying approach as a differentiator that helped set them apart from strong competition during the tender process.

Tourism Vancouver
Tourism Vancouver has appointed Initiative Australia to its media account, following a successful collaborative ideation process with McCann West in Vancouver, Canada. The agency will work across Tourism Vancouver's media strategy, planning and buying with a focus on digital media."The working partnership with Tourism Vancouver, Initiative and McCann demonstrates our effectiveness and creativity across the global network to tap into the nuances in each of Tourism Vancouver’s target markets," McCann West Canada president Karen Pearce says. The Tourism Vancouver account marks the ninth win for the agency this year.
