By AdNews | 2 December 2016

Outgoing Clemenger BBDO Sydney ECD Paul Nagy is to chair the Australian Creative Excellence Showcase (ACES) judging panel in 2017. Nagy annouced he is leaving the agency after 10 years last month.

The ACES, run by Val Morgan in partnership with AdNews, celebrate the best Australian advertising across cinema, TV and online.

The judges this year are Julian Schreiber, executive creative director at Cummins&Partners, Mike Spirkovski, executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi, Nancy Hartley, creative partner at Rumble, Paul Connell Unilever marketing director, Vince Lagana, Leo Burnett ECD and AdNews editor Rosie Baker.

Nagy says: “It’s so important we celebrate and recognise our locally developed work and talent - that’s why the ACES is such a fabulous initiative. Australia has an incredibly creative culture that generates work that is the envy of the world. We need to foster and promote this in any way we can. We’ve got an amazing group of judges this year, and I’m looking forward to getting the first look at what Australia will be showcasing at award shows throughout the coming year.”

The awards are free to enter and are open to all Australian based advertising agencies, production companies, media agencies, creative agencies and or clients. Entries for the ACES close on 19 December 2016.

The winner of the ACE of Excellence will be announced at the annual event, which will take place in Sydney on 9 February 2017.

The entry kit can be downloaded here.
