Optus has commenced a search for a new marketing lead after its managing director of marketing and product, Vicki Brady, left the business.

Brady’s departure was announced internally last week and a search is now underway to replace her.

An Optus spokesperson told AdNews that Ben White will act in Brady's old role, with White having been with Optus since 2006 in a variety of senior management roles.

Brady has already resurfaced at Optus rival Telstra, with Brady being task to lead its consumer division.

It is unsure what Brady’s departure means for creative and media review that the telco is currently undertaking. The business kicked off the review in June, and it is unclear when it will be concluded. Recent rumours however tip UM to take out the media part of the business.

Brady's departure comes as Optus unveiled its new rewards program, Optus Perks, less than one month after its former loyalty venture ended.

The program includes vouchers for three months of free Netflix, live-streaming of “the summer of cricket” and vouchers for Airbnb, as well as its previous movie tickets deal.
