The NRL's head of marketing, digital and content, Lewis Pullen, has taken up a marketing role with IAG working on its new Challenger brand.

Pullen's remit is to oversee the marketing for Challenger, which has been created by IAG to take on new entrants and disruptors in the insurance market. He will also work across marketing and branding for the IAG SGIO, SGIC, Berkshire Hathaway brands, as well as IAG’s partnership with Coles Insurance.

“I have been attracted by the strong leadership and culture at IAG as well as their commitment to a customer first approach to their business,” Pullen wrote on his LinkedIn page.

“I am looking forward to working in a new industry, taking my brand marketing knowledge from airline, media and sport into this space,” he added.

Pullen worked at the NRL for two and a half years and before that role he was executive manager of marketing for Qantas for more than three years.

He commences his new role on 6 June.
