Movers & Shakers: PHD, OMD, Pinterest, Clemenger BBDO Sydney

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out the biggest moves in adland this week.

Senior executive shakeup at PHD
PHD Australia announced a shakeup, with one managing director departing, one promoted and two new MDs appointed, one in Sydney and another in Melbourne. Lucy Formosa Morgan, appointed last year as a joint national managing managing director, is leaving after ten years. The other national managing director, Stuart Bailey, is staying to be COO.  Stephanie Douglas-Neal will take on the role of managing director PHD Sydney. Simon Lawson will be promoted to managing director of PHD Melbourne. And joining the executive team: national head of trading Joanna Barnes; recently-appointed national head of new business & marketing Kate Milligan; and national head of strategy Mitchell Long.

Pete Bosilkovski explores a "different opportunity"
Pete Bosilkovski has resigned as CEO of Clemenger BBDO Sydney. He has decided to take a break and spend more time with his family as he seeks to explore a "different opportunity" in his career. He leaves at the end of October. The hunt for a new chief executive has started. 

Willie Pang becomes CEO of Limepay
Digital payments company Limepay announced the appointment of former media agency senior executive Willie Pang as CEO. Pang was the managing director, GroupM Services, and before that CEO of MediaCom AUNZ.

Amanda Watts to GM, OMD Sydney, from head of Telstra
OMD announced the promotion of Amanda Watts to general manager, OMD Sydney, from head of Telstra. The newly-created role bolsters the local leadership offering and reflects OMD’s commitment to delivering a sustainable structure that continues to provide the right level of coverage.

Melinda Petrunoff moves from Facebook to Pinterest
Pinterest appointed Melinda Petrunoff as its new Australia and New Zealand country manager. Pinterest head of Canada and APAC Erin Elofson said Petrunoff's experience "makes her an ideal fit to expand our business in Australia and New Zealand".

Nielsen's new president of Asia Pacific
Robert Gilby is joining the international leadership team at Nielsen as president of Asia Pacific. He starts on October 18, based in Singapore where he has held senior positions at The Walt Disney Company, Turner, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and advisory and board roles with the Singapore Ministry of Communications and Information, and its agencies. He says: “APAC has entered a new growth era. Cross-media marketing is the future as audience viewing behaviours evolve across mobile, streaming, social, and TV platforms."

Finder appoints first chief people officer
Accomplished people and culture leader Shanyn Payne joined Finder as chief people officer. Payne has more than 20 years' experience working with big brands including Afterpay, Seek, Priceline, Dick Smith and Woolworths. Melbourne-based, Payne will take the reins of the People and Culture function as Finder scales its crew and culture globally.

Akamai appoints first MD and regional vice president AUNZ
Akamai, which secures and delivers digital experiences for innovative companies, appointed Chris Gibbs as its first managing director and regional vice president, Australia and New Zealand. In the newly-created role, Gibbs is responsible for leading Akamai’s business growth and expansion in Australia and New Zealand.

MediaHub Australia promoted Scott Jolly to COO
Scott Jolly has been promoted from head of operations to chief operating officer. As COO, he has full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of MediaHub. He will continue to report to MediaHub CEO Alan Sweeney but takes on added board responsibilities. He will also provide Sweeney with assistance in new business development.
