Facebook's chief creative Rebecca Carrasco exits after less than a year

Rebecca Carrasco, head of Facebook's internal agency Creative Shop has left the business after less than a year in the role. Carrasco was poached from Clemenger BBDO Sydney in November last year where she was creative director. Her appointment was seen by many as a creative coup for Facebook, which was taking steps to ramp up its creative chops. Read more here.

Dentsu appoints corporate affairs head

Dentsu Aegis Network has hired Andrew Hewett as head of corporate affairs. Hewett was most recently group general manager – external communications for Coca-Cola Amatil and brings more than two decades of experience in corporate affairs, change management, PR, issues management and digital and social media. Previously, he worked in a corporate comms capacity at HJ Heinz and as account director at Haystac. Hewett has also worked in the media as a breakfast newsreader at Triple M Melbourne, an EP on 3AW Football and in several roles at Fairfax Media.

New Ve Interactive MD

Global ad tech company Ve Interactive has opened up new digs in Sydney, hired a new MD, bolstered staff and even has former CEO and founder of IPG Mediabrands-owned content agency Ensemble, Justin Ricketts, backing the firm as it “aggressively” targets the Australian market. Read more here.

Key Bauer publisher exits

Bauer Media key publisher Matt Dominello will exit the publisher after just 18 months at the business. Dominello currently looks after The Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day, Yours and Good Health. He resigned “in order to pursue his interests outside if of publishing”. His resignation follows news Marina Go would leave Bauer. There have been a number of moves within Bauer since CEO Nick Chan took the helm earlier this year.
