MercerBell has won work for Carnival Cruise Line that sees the agency lead the 2017 campaign for the travel brand.

It also marks Carnival Cruise Line's move towards project work, ending their relationship with Host. AdNews understands Host declined to pitch for the account.

The campaign from MercerBell will launch in July this year across TV, cinema, OOH, press and online.

MercerBell ECD David Bell says: "The pitch process was highly collaborative and we are immensely proud and excited by the winning concept. We look forward to working closely with Carnival Cruise Line this year and delivering some fantastically creative work."

The win follows MercerBell's recent success landing the BetFair account alongside Saatchi & Saatchi.

Carnival Cruise Line MD Jayne Andrews says the agency understood the brand and its audience.

"The concepts presented throughout the pitch were bang on and we can’t wait to see the winning route brought to life," Andrews says.
