Lend Lease has appointed 303Lowe to take over its community portfolio as well as lead a major brand initiative.

Industry insiders confirmed that 303Lowe took out a competitive pitch to consolidate all of the branding of Lend Lease's residential development projects into Sydney.

Incumbent agency Traffic will work with the developer until the end of the year.

Lend Lease is the developer for Barangaroo South, which is the southern 7.5 hectares of the 22-hectare former container port. The area is currently being transformed into a waterfront precinct which will house a casino, residential and commercial buildings.

Lend Lease has also just been short-listed as one of five potential developers for Central Barangaroo.

The hiring of 303Lowe is separate to the news revealed by AdNews today that Barangaroo has appointed 15 agencies to  promote the government's foreshore precinct.

Correction: This story initially stated that Traffic was no longer working with Lend Lease.
