Carla Vella returns to SCA after short stint at Ten

Carla Vella has returned to Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) as its head of radio sales, Sydney following a short stint in television, working at Network Ten.

Vella left the radio station in March for her first TV role in the newly created position of Sydney sales director. Her role was to leverage her relationships in the Sydney market to build on Ten's presence.

But after a matter of months, Vella is now returning to a more senior role at SCA where she will continue to provide commercial insights, innovative solutions and integrated ideation.

SCA recently appointed chief sales officer Brian Gallagher said: “She comes highly recommended both internally from the SCA team and externally by our clients. She is a natural fit for a company that is aggressively chasing growth. I'm looking forward to Carla playing a key role in the development of a great Australian media company."

Vella has more than 11 years experience and has held role across out of home, metropolitan and regional radio and digital organisations.

Her appointment is effective as of 10 August.
