Movers and Shakers: Ten, Google, IPG and Telstra

Adland is full of big moves at the moment. Here are the movers and shakers of this week:

Ten's Sydney GM Louise Barrett resigns

Network Ten's Sydney general manager Louise Barrett is to step down at the end of June. Barrett led Ten's sales function since 2013, overseeing its transition to Multi Channel Network (MCN).

As sales moved to MCN, there are no plans to replace Barrett, but Ten's head of trading and Brisbane GM Rod Prosser will pick up the key client relations. Read more here.

Google Australia names new marketing lead

Google Australia has promoted its head of media, Aisling Finch, to head of marketing for Australia and New Zealand as current marketing lead, Lucinda Barlow, is set to step up to a global role.

Barlow, who has led the search giant's local marketing since 2010, is preparing to take on the new position of global director of YouTube marketing in California. Read more here.

Ten creative director joins IPG's Ensemble

IPG Mediabrands creative arm, Ensemble, has appointed Michael Stanford as managing director. Stanford has 25 years experience in the industry and was most recently the creative director at Channel Ten's creative hub, Generate. He also previosuly held creative roles at both GPY&R and McCann. He has worked with Optus, Budget Direct and was a co-writer on the Modern Family Toyota Kluger content series. Read more here.

McCann Sydney hires DT's creative hotshot

McCann Sydney has hired former DT executive creative director Jerker Fagerström, as Dejan Rasic departs the agency.
Fagerström joined DT in December 2014, from a role at DDB Stockholm as ECD. He had previously worked at a number of different agencies including a role at Saatchi & Saatchi Sweden as head of planning and founding partner. Read more here.

Havas poach digital duo from M&C

Havas Worldwide Australia has announced the appointment of digital creative director team Josh Bryer and Gustavo Vampre. The pair both previously worked at M&C Saatchi and are tasked with strengthening Havas Worldwide’s digital output. Read more here.

Telstra's Adam Good surfaces as Dentsu APAC digital chief

Adam Good, former director of digital media and content at Telstra, has resurfaced as APAC chief digital officer at Denstu Aegis Network. He has taken on a regional role leading digital strategy across the network's Branded Agency group.
Dentsu's branded agencies operate in Singapore, Australia, China, Hong Kong Taiwan, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and New Zealand. Read more here.
