Movers and shakers: Clemenger poaches, Dentsu promotes

Adland is full of big moves at the moment. Here are the movers and shakers of this week:

Dentsu Aegis creates CMO role, promotes Rebecca Tos

Dentsu Aegis has created a CMO role for the first time to drive marketing activity across the group. Rebecca Tos has been appointed to the role and will hold a dual post. At the same time she has been promoted to CEO of Columbus.
The promotion marks Tos' return from maternity leave and makes her the first female CEO on Dentsu Aegis Group's management board. Read more here.

Clemenger Melbourne hires Ogilvy's digital head

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has hired former Ogilvy Melbourne head of digital, Ben Kidney, to head up its digital department. Kidney joins as director of digital, a role that will see him lead the digital function at the agency. Read more here.

Maxus strengthens leadership team

Maxus has promoted Ricky Chanana to national head of investment and shored up its leadership team.

Alex Concannon joins from Starcom as the agency's national marketing analytics director while Shivani Maharaj, the head of innovations and partnerships, joins the executive team. Read more here.

Bauer Media merges UK businesses as Goodchild departs

H Bauer Publishing chief executive David Goodchild is to exit after 23 years, as Bauer Media merges its two UK magazine divisions. Goodchild stepped back from his Australian CEO position in December of last year to return to London. Chief executive of Bauer Media UK Paul Keenan will now take responsibility for the H Bauer business. Read more here.

Thelma McQuillan joins David Jones magazine

Former Harpers Bazaar fashion director, has joined the Medium Rare Content Agency as the fashion director for the David Jones magazine. Before Harpers, McQuillan she was fashion director at Grazia Australia and contributing fashion Eeditor at Grazia UK for five years. Read more here.
