Young Gun: DoubleVerify account manager Oliver Moore

Our Young Gun profile takes a look at some of the young talent across the advertising, adtech, marketing and media sector in Australia. It aims to shed light on the varying roles, people and companies across the buzzing industry.

Today we speak to DoubleVerify account manager Oliver Moore.

Time in current role/time at the company:
One and a half years.

How long have you been in the industry?
Six years.

How did you get here? Was this always the plan?
Not part of the plan but ecstatic to be here! Fell into this role with an internship at Ansible (formally MNet) and here I am six years later enjoying every minute of it.

Who is your right hand person?
My boss Lena Lepojevic, who is the director of account management in APAC. She is a great leader sharing all things media related and pushing me to capitalise on my skill set while improving areas for growth.

What’s the best thing about the industry you work in?
Innovation in an ever-changing market landscape. While that might sound cliché, it’s true. In this industry, innovation and new products are what drive the industry forward!

And the biggest challenge?
While I mentioned innovation as the best thing, it’s also a challenge (a welcome one at that). With a forever changing market we must be capable of diversifying product sets while staying grounded and being able to draw actionable insights that clients and agencies can address.

Whose job have you set your sights on in the future?
Team management is what I have my sights set on in the short term.

Where do you turn for inspiration?
DoubleVerify! DV is constantly innovating new and efficient ways to drive performance quality across clients digital advertising campaigns. A huge part of DV is to work with advertisers to understand what their needs are, while we strive to meet these and offer enhanced market products and services.

My favourite advert is:
The recent Apple Air Pods Pro – Jump Campaign. Apple are world renowned for their adverts and this one I just thought was great! The way they integrate products functionality with a capturing advert is incredible.

Tell us one thing people at work don’t know about you?
I have an unhealthy collection of electronics from old broken ones (I try to fix) to new and exciting bits that are new to market.

In five years' time I'll be:
Managing a team of successful individuals as passionate about the digital media as I am!
