Yahoo!7 has raided Fairfax for its recent hires, with Paul Bates becoming Yahoo!7's national sales director and Natalie Grabbe becoming its head of sales in Victoria.

Grabbe will report into Bates, with Bates to report up the line to Yahoo!7 commercial director Paul Sigaloff.

Bates will be responsible for managing all Yahoo!7 sales teams across Australia, driving commercial initiatives for all Yahoo!7's digital platforms.

He will also be tasked with building significant relationships with clients and media agencies.

Grabbe on the other hand will be tasked with coordinating and managing Yahoo!7 sales across the state, leading advertisers in the development of multi-media advertising agreements that leverage the power of the Seven West Media Network.

Bates has experience with Fairfax Media, Fox Interactive Media and Pacific Magazines while Grabbe has experience with Private Media, The Guardian USA and UK and The Age.

Sigaloff said both appointments came at a time when Yahoo!7 was rolling out a refined marketing plan to advertisers.

"Paul and Natalie's appointments come at an exciting time for the commercial business as we bring our refined Yahoo!7 Advertising offering to clients,” Sigaloff said.

“Their extensive experience will strengthen our position in market as we provide unrivalled integrated access to content, native, audience, premium and video advertising".
