What is the best performing brand in Australia?

By AdNews | 1 December 2016

This year we've introduced a new category in the AdNews Agency of The Year Awards to recognise strong brands in Australia. We're celebrating 30 years of our programme and 30 years of recognising great work and great agencies in Australia, and it seems about time to recognise brands within that with a dedicated award.

The category is open for clients to enter their brand directly, or for agencies to enter their clients in recognition of their joint successes.

It's open to any consumer-facing brand with marketing and/or brand operations based in Australia.

The award recognises the output, performance and commercial outcomes of the brand, as well as the structure, leadership and performance of the team.

Judges will be looking for evidence that speaks to the success of the brand and how marketing activities delivered business impact. They will also take into account culture, values, innovative processes, challenges and outcomes, staff turnover and relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

You can find all the details on the category awards and how to enter, plus the entry kit here.

We know it's a busy time of year and entering awards can be a tough process, but we've made it much easier to enter this year as we're introducing an online portal to simplify entering and make it less time consuming as we know you're busy. Check it out here.

Other new categories this year:

The People and Culture Award is open to any agency, marketing team, media or ad tech company operating in the marketing communications industry in Australia and will award workplaces that are investing in people, committing to diversity and driving a strong culture within their organisation.

In-house/Bespoke Agency of the Year category will celebrate the innovative approaches and bespoke client agency models set up to deal with the changing demands of advertisers and media.

Production Agency of the Year has been added to recognise this key side of the industry.

Small Agency of the Year is also evolving to recognise that small independent shops and small agencies that are part of bigger networks face different challenges and so we'll consider these separately.
