Travel and adventure retailer, Kathmandu has named Vizeum as their marketing communications agency for Australia and New Zealand.

Vizeum, in collaboration with Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) partner agency and Kathmandu’s digital media agency of record, Columbus, a Merkle Company will deliver integrated marketing communications solutions.

Vizeum’s remit for the account is media strategy, planning and buying for offline media.

Kathmandu joins Vizeum’s expanding portfolio of clients including new acquisition, Bank First, a customer-owned mutual bank.

The win for Vizeum comes at a time of change within the agency, with former chief investment officer of Amplifi Ash Earnshaw joining the media agency as its CEO earlier this year.

The two new wins will help recoupe some of the accounts that have come out of Vizeum earlier this year, which included the AFL and Asahi's alcoholic beverages portfolio.

DAN's media agencies have begun to turn things around in recent weeks, with sister agency Carat retaining two of its larger accounts including L’Oréal, worth $40 million and private health insurers Medibank and AHM, worth $50m.
