Todd Sampson's Redesign My Brain down on last series

The series premiere of Todd Sampson's Redesign My Brain on the ABC last night grabbed an audience of 672,000, down on last year's premiere, with one of the closest finishes between the three main commercial networks for the year.

Last season, the premiere of the Sampson vehicle grabbed an audience of 865,000.

However, MasterChef continues to dominate the schedule for Ten with a massive 1.05 million viewers. The second-highest non-news program for the evening was Home and Away for Seven, which had an audience of 716,000.

MasterChef helped Channel Ten tie with Channel Seven for the night, with each of the main channels grabbing a 17.2% share of the audience.

However, on a network and channel basis Nine took the chocolates with a network 26.6% share against Seven with a 26.1% share and Ten with a 24 point slice.
