Gemba celebrates

The Gemba Group's campaign for Toyota Australia, leveraging a partnership with Cricket Australia, achieved more than two million video views over the summer.

The marketing group helped create a number of online videos, getting current players to demonstrate how to best celebrate a wicket, from a fist pump, chainsaw, man hug, or even a cheeky Merv Hughes ear lick.

A twitter campaign to go along with the online videos also performed well according to Gemba, with its top post achieving a 14.5% engagement rate against Toyota's average of 3.19%.

Ogilvy named as Sitecore Platinum Partner

Ogilvy Australia has been awarded Platinum Implementation Partner status by global customer experience platform Sitecore.

It is the first time an Australian marketing communications agency has achieved the Platinum Implementation Partner status, selected by Sitecore out of 120 companies across Australia and New Zealand.

Criteria required to achieve Platinum Implementation Partner status include demonstration of best practice at every stage of the customer cycle, proven track record, scale and depth of experience and capabilities.

The ads are alive with the sound of music

The International Advertising Association Young Professionals Chapter is hosting a get-together with industry leaders to explore how brands can create “music connection strategies”, and not just a jingle on a TV spot.

Representatives from Pandora, Universal Music, Nine Live, Carat, and Authentic Entertainment will head to ZenithOptimedia's office in Walsh Bay on 22 April for a panel discussion.

The discussion will explore the new world of music marketing, and what it means for brands now and into the future.
