Tests on an OMD employee from the UK, whose flu-like symptoms sparked a shut-down in the advertising company's Sydney and London offices, have come back negative for coronavirus.

Most staff in Sydney returned to work yesterday after the office was shut Friday when a visiting colleague from London, via Singapore, reported his symptoms.

Some, who had come in close contact with the London colleague, continued to work from home. They can now return to the office.

Foxtel Media also closed after staff visited the Sydney OMD office. Staff returned to Pyrmont yesterday.

The London office of OMD was also shut but has since reopened.

Omnicom has postponed global travel to or from China, Japan, Hong Kong, Iran, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, or Northern Italy.

Dentsu in Japan also shut its office after an employee tested positive to the coronavirus.
