Tabcorp has today promoted Claire Murphy to the role of chief marketing officer, a role which she has been acting in for the last four months.

The gaming business has been looking for a CMO since November, since Mike Smith departed the business, with the process also seeing Tabcorp undertake a review of its marketing structure.

Tabcorp explained that its marketing activities across the group will now be centralised under the CMO function, with business unit marketing leaders embedded in the company’s three businesses Wagering and Media, Keno and Gaming Services.

As part of the promotion, Murphy will become a permanent member of Tabcorp’s senior executive leadership team.

She has previously worked at Crown, World Wresting Entertainment, Melbourne Storm and William Hill before joining Tabcorp in 2015. Murphy most recently held the role of general manager marketing for Keno and gaming.
