Stan CEO Mike Sneesby provides an update on how the SVOD is performing.

Stan will introduce a slate of downloadable content in March, ensuring the majority of its line-up will be available to watch offline.

From March, Stan subscribers will be able to download thousands of hours of TV series and films to watch anywhere without an internet connection. SVOD rival Netflix began making its content available to view offline last November.

Stan's offline content will include Sherlock, the new Twin Peaks, Jim Carrey’s upcoming comedy-drama I’m Dying Up Here, Billions, Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Mozart In The Jungle and Transparent.

At a media briefing last night, Stan also revealed it has signed a content deal to become the SVOD home of children’s channel Cartoon Network, providing exclusive SVOD rights to animated series including Adventure Time, Ben 10, Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears and Steven Universe.

It now has children's content from Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, ABC for Kids and Roadshow.

This year, Stan will commission another season of Wolf Creek and a six-part stand-up comedy series One Night Stan, which begins on 24 March. Its other popular shows such as Unreal, and The Girlfriend Experience are also back with new seasons.

In April, Stan will begin rolling out content in ultra high definition 4k starting with Better Call Saul. UHD content will work on new Samsung and LG TVs and PlayStation Pro console.
