House Rules: High Stakes

Monday night’s launch of House Rules: High Stakes attracted a smaller audience compared to last year.

The latest season of the reality home improvement show, which aired 7pm, had 679,000 metro viewers, and an additional 355,000 regional viewers, giving it a total national audience of 1.034 million viewers.

This is down from 782,000 metro viewers for 2019's launch episode which aired on a Sunday night.

The show is one of Seven’s revamped programs, with contestants renovating a high-rise penthouse, as well as new hosts Jamie Durie and Abbey Gelmi, following the departure of Johanna Griggs.

“It was great to see that House Rules High Stakes was the number one entertainment show for 25-54s last night and we look forward to the audience enjoying the amazing reveals still to come,” says Seven’s director of network programming Angus Ross.

Last night’s episode was the second highest launch episode for an entertainment show so far this year, behind Nine’s Married at First Sight. However, nationally, it was the lowest launch episode for House Rules.

Monday night was dominated by news, with Seven News attracting 1.29 million metro viewers and Nine News attracting 1.24 million metro viewers.
