The Queensland Government has launched its Preferred Supplier Panel (PSP) for marketing, advertising, and media services, set to operate until November 30, 2030.
The panel sets out which agencies are eligible to pitch for and deliver advertising work for Queensland Government departments without needing to run individual tenders for each brief.
The new panel grow’s from 15 to 40 agencies, with holding companies Dentsu Creative, Ogilvy Australia and Publicis Australia joining the mix.
All other agencies include BCM Group, Binge Creative, Brother & Co, Carbon Creative, Chimera Project, Creative Outpost, Cristian & Marianne, Elevate Media, Enigma Communication, Expressway Studio, Firme Agency, Freshwater Queensland, Gatecrasher, Gilimbaa, Icon Agency, IM Agency, KPMG, New Word Order, Nous, Ochre Strokes, Paper Moose, Ravel Studios t/a RAVEL, Romeo, Rowland, Rumble, Smoke Creative, Subfracture, Supercurious, Tactical Directions, The Alt Shift Brisbane Partnership, The Engine Group t/a Engine Group, Khemistry, Friends & Allies, Them Advertising, Vetta Creative, VML Brisbane and Welcome to the Fold.
Of the 40, 39 are considered small to medium sized businesses, a target which the Queensland government confirmed it would prioritise with 30% participation from local businesses and 50% Australian-owned under its new procurement guidelines.
Independent Brisbane agencies, including nextThursday, Wonderkarma and Cutting Edge, went into liquidation last year.
Khemistry went with the collapse of GrowthOps but emerged again as an independent, appearing back in the agency panel list.
It was reported that Clemenger BBDO’s Brisbane office closed last year.
Suppliers on the previous panel were BCM Group, Carbon Creative, Clemenger BBDO, Engine Group, Gilimbaa, Iscariot Media, JSA Creative, KPMG, New Word Order, Publicis Brisbane, Red Suit Advertising, Rowland, Smoke Creative Pty Ltd, VML and Welcome to the Fold.
“Aligned with the Queensland Procurement Policy 2026, this initiative is a key step in driving public value, creating local opportunities, and fostering a sustainable and inclusive economy,” said a Department of Housing and Public Works spokesperson.
“The new, expanded panel reflects the dynamic nature of the industry and aims to deliver supplier diversity, depth of capability, and enhanced outcomes for Queenslanders and is set to operate until 30 November 2030, with extension options.
“To ensure it remains responsive to industry changes, the panel will be reviewed and refreshed throughout its term.
“The previous Creative Solutions Standing Offer Arrangement (QGP0056-18) will continue to operate in parallel until the end of February 2026.”
The Queensland Government launched the pitch for a new creative advertising account at the beginning of last year.
GroupM's EssenceMediacom retained the $60m Queensland government's media account in 2024, having held the account since 2004.
In October 2024, the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games organising committee announced expression of interest openings across creative, media and brand experience accounts.
