AdNews wraps up the biggest pitch news and wins from the last month.

Endeavour Group pitching creative

Major retail drinks business Endeavour Group is pitching its creative account for its core brands, including BWS and Dan Murphy's, AdNews revealed. 

Endeavour Group has conducted a closed EOI process with both incumbent and prospective agencies, seeking one lead creative agency.

Kaimera wins Afterpay pitch

Buy now, pay later player Afterpay has appointed independent agency Kaimera.

Initiative had the account since in 2021.

Kaimera will be agency of record in Australia and New Zealand looking after national and local media planning and buying.

Mindshare wins Nova pitch

Mindshare has been appointed Nova Entertainment's media agency partner, following a competitive pitch.

Carat had held the radio network's account since wining the last pitch in 2017. 

Mindshare, part of WPP's GroupM, will from June work across Nova's portfolio, including Nova Network, Smooth FM, FIVEAA, Star 104.5 and the Nova Podcast Network.

Mindshare wins IKEA in NZ

IKEA, ahead of its  launch in New Zealand, has appointed GroupM agency Mindshare as its media agency partner.

Mindshare, which already works with IKEA in Australia, a relationship established in 2017, will help establish the Swedish furniture retailer in New Zealand.

Carat Victoria retains Beacon Lighting account

Dentsu company Carat Victoria will continue its six-year relationship with Beacon Lighting, retaining the media account, responsible for all paid media strategy, planning and buying including brand, performance and programmatic.

Carat first won the Beacon Lighting account in 2018, expanding the relationship in 2021 and now in 2024 for a further three years.

Resolution Digital wins myPlates pitch

Resolution Digital has been chosen as personalised numberplates business myPlates’ traditional and digital media and SEO agency following a competitive pitch of five agencies.

The account was previously held by independent media agency Kaimera.

myPlates CEO David McGrath said they were looking for an agency with strong technical and strategic abilities.

CHEP Media wins Sydney University pitch

CHEP Media has been appointed to provide media planning and buying services for the University of Sydney, following a competitive pitch.

The agency will support the university with an integrated, whole-of-university media strategy focusing on Australia and key markets across the Asia-Pacific region.

WiredCo. wins G.J. Gardner Homes pitch

Australian home builder G.J. Gardner has appointed WiredCo. creative and content agency of record.

The family business, which has been in operation since 1983, operates under a franchise model across Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

Sandbox wins Smartsheet pitch

Sandbox Media has won the Smartsheet Australia account in a competitive pitch.

The enterprise work management platform has been operating in Australia for 4.5 years.

Hotglue wins La Trobe Financial pitch

Alternative asset manager La Trobe Financial has named Hotglue as its official Australian digital media agency partner, after a competitive pitch process.

JCDecaux wins Sydney metro buses pitch

JCDecaux has been awarded the Transport for NSW (TfNSW) bus advertising contract for all buses in the Sydney Metropolitan regions after winning a competitive tender.

72andSunny wins online broker Stake

Australian investment platform Stake has appointed 72andSunny creative partner on brand strategy, brand design and integrated communications.
