Qantas link-up with goCatch

Qantas is expanding its ever-growing list of brand partners, announcing that frequent flyer members can now earn points for catching a taxi through axi booking app goCatch.

This is the second brand link-up announcement for the airline in the past fortnight, following the formation of an international joint acquisition program with Tate and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in September.

Under the new brand tie-up, frequent flyer members can earn one Qantas point per dollar spent on taxi fares over $10.
goCatch CEO Ned Moorfield said the partnership was a significant corporate milestone for the brand: “We already know that over 350,000 Australians have downloaded goCatch – so now there’s an even more compelling reason to book and pay through our app for taxi travel.”

Chrissie Swan joins Nova

Chrissie Swan is set to return to radio, joining Melbourne’s Nova 100 breakfast show in 2016.

Swan has been a regular on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa show and previously co-hosted breakfast on vega 91.5 (now SmoothFM).

Swan was controversially replaced on the Kiis 101.1FM breakfast slot with Matt Tilley in November 2014, who partnered up with host Jane Hall. Last week the Australian Radio Network announced Hall would be leaving at end of the year.

Louise Higgins, NOVA Entertainment COO said: “We are delighted that Chrissie Swan will be joining Nova 100 next year. Chrissie’s relatable style and quick wit makes her the perfect choice for breakfast and will put us in a strong position for success in 2016.”

Pureprofile extends profile base with new partnership

Marketing technology company Pureprofile has signed an agreement with data management platform Lotame, extending the company’s profile base and access to first party data.

The partnership will allow Pureprofile to create millions of unclaimed profiles and deliver finely tuned, “personalised” advertising campaigns.

Pureprofile CEO Paul Chan said: “The agreement complements our existing partnerships, including ProductReview.com.au, allowing us to collect valuable data from these sites and monetise it innovative new way.”

In an interview with the Australian today, Chan said the rise of ad blocking is the “best thing to happen to the ad industry for years, forcing marketers to be more transparent.”
