Practical Parenting relaunches

Pacific has relaunched Practical Parenting, which has been rebuilt and refocused using insights derived from consumer research. The insights revealed that Aussie mums trust the advice of other mums far more than brands and manufacturers when it comes to making purchase decisions. The research, from Pacific’s Insights team, has been used to guide both the site’s strategy and feature set, which includes 24/7 shopping, extensive product listings and reviews by real mums. Practical Parenting’s powerful new online destination allows mums to search, review and buy, harnessing the power of Pacific’s 28 million plus community and the Seven West Media network. Reaching 1.9 million mums with kids at home every month across the Pacific portfolio, the all-new Practical Parenting is now positioned to tap into this established community of parents on their path to purchase. The platform emulates Pacific’s review site, Beautycrew, which launched in 2016 and now has more than 28,000 reviews and recommendations for 5,000 products.

Y&R Brisbane wins Amart Furniture

Y&R Brisbane has been appointed lead creative agency of record for Amart Furniture, following a competitive pitch. With an emphasis on repositioning the brand through creating an engaging brand platform, Y&R will be responsible for all Amart Furniture creative duties across brand, retail, digital and in-store. Amart is currently undergoing a period of high growth with expectations and aims to expand its business nationally. Y&R’s new positioning and brand campaign for Amart Furniture will launch later this year with the new campaign set to roll out across television, radio, out of home, digital and in-store experience. This new business win continues the momentum for Y&R following a successful first half with Alfa Romeo and Burger King wins. “To be partnering with one of Australia’s fastest growing retailers is very exciting. Amart came to us with specific objectives, focused on a customer first, creative platform that will stand out in the market place and we are looking forward to delivering that for them," Y&R ANZ CEO Pete Bosilkovski said.

John Stanley and Beau Ryan binned from Macquarie Sports Radio

Macquarie Sports Radio has revealed its new breakfast team, consisting of Mark Levy and Mark Riddell. The show, which airs on the recently launched station, was originally hosted by John Stanley and former NRL-star, and current member of The Footy Show team, Beau Ryan. Last week it was confirmed that Ryan had departed the show, after rumours were sparked that he would be returning to the Kyle and Jackie O show, following a one-off appearance. ARN later confirmed that the TV personality would not be returning to the show, stating he was simply filling in for a sick Kyle Sandilands. This morning it was also confirmed that Stanley would not be returning to the show. The two had only hosted the show for three months before being pulled off the air. A reason behind the decision has yet to be revealed, however in the last radio survey, the show's audience share dropped from a 2.5% share to 0.7% share.
