Snapchat launches news broadcast with NBC

American network NBC News is broadcasting a twice-daily news show on Snapchat, called 'Stay Tuned'. It aims to tap into the app's younger audience who no longer get their news from traditional news outlets. It will feature four to five stories which will look at the biggest national and international issues of the day, including politics, contemporary culture and sport. According to Reuters, Comcast's NBCUniversal invested $500 million in Snapchat owner Snap Inc during its initial public offering as it seeks to boost its digital offering. The move comes a week after Snap Inc closed below IPO price for the first time.
